New jQuery TV Prompter Script
May 26th, 2009 | Author: ChipI have released a new version of my custom TV prompter jQuery script. I was not satisfied by the modded installation of a deprecated software running only on Windows 9x and started to write my own. The script is very simple and it shades the X in XHTML by using the <marquee> tag. Shame to me, I know, but it behaves flawlessly.
The changes in version 0.2 are just a few. I have updated jQuery to the latest version (1.3.2), I have optimized the marquee script for speed by removing some unnecessary calls in the original jQuery routine and I have reorganized the directory structure. I have also externalized the CSS stylesheet for a quicker loading time.
